I'm asking because I have really dry, frizzy hair/curly hair. Normal conditioners and shampoos dont really help. I heard that African Americans have naturally dry hair, and shampoo/conditioner made for them is meant to add moisture to their hair. If I used it, would it help and condition my hair, or would it be bad for my hair?If a white person uses shampoo/conditioner meant for black people?
Yes it will definetly help. you may have to shop around and try a few different makes though, just like we do. They wont be bad for your hair.
Try and get a gentle but clarifying shampoo, that will wash all the other product bulid up, you have used previously out of your hair. so you start from scratch.
These can be drying so use a moisturising shampoo/conditioner afterwards,
The Cream Of Nature brand of Hair Products, are very good they use organic ingredients and dont have sulphates in, which lots of shampoos do, and this chemical ingredient can be very drying also.
Any shampoo that is sulphate free will be good though

Go for it ! I use products that are marketed towards women of color all the time. I say marketed b/c that's all it is.....marketing. You buy stuff for your hair based on it's texture %26amp; needs, not just because it's marketed towards your or another race.
i'm do hair, my cousin who is white has the thickest curliest frizziest hair you could ever see i have her using african american products....
mizani is great line, i would only purchase from a salon..if you have a jcpenney's i know they carry it-that's where my cousin buys hers at
Yes you can use any shampoo and conditioner that adds extra moisture to your hair.
IT WOULD BE OK TO USE ON UR HAIR...
I'm a hairstylist and I've used products for black hair. Some of them are nice and smell real good to. They aren't bad for your hair.
i think it would work. they don't have chemicals that would damage ur hair. y don't you try the pantene line? it's the one with the colored bottle (relaxed %26amp; natural) ....
no but its gonna be extremely greasy. i did that because my hair was frizzy and stuff and i thought it would work..the next day my hair looked like i just smeared crisco alll over it. get some frizz serum or something!
It's not truly a matter of what race actually ^^ they advertise it for black people because that audience has more people with that hair type; They make more money that way :D
Yes, it should work for you as long as it's not made for hair that's the color black.
