What happens if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is meant for enhancing blonde hair color when your hair is?

what happens if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is meant for enhancing blonde hair color when your hair is black?

I keep seeing these bottles of shampoo and conditioners that are supposed to enhance a particular hair color.

My hair color is black.

What would happen if I do use one that is supposed by for, say...blonde, or brunette? What happens if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is meant for enhancing blonde hair color when your hair is?
It would clean you hair, there would be no visible difference. Mostly that 'made for' stuff is marketing. I use a made for blondes shampoo, but I have to admit my hair is now browner than it is blonde...but I like the shampoo. What happens if you use a shampoo/conditioner that is meant for enhancing blonde hair color when your hair is?
Okay I am the only blonde in my house. So the only shampoo//conditioner we have is for brunettes. And i use it. It doesnt change my hair color or anything. In fact it makes it shiny.
it won't do anything....it says on the bottles non color depositing...it certainly won't lift you any...but the sunsilk ones...those i think may add color....there are ones you can purchase that will add color....mostly it will add shine
I don't think it will do anything, unless your hair is dyed. Blonde shampoos can lighten dyed brown hair, shampoos for brunettes MIGHT make black slightly brownish. But really, those shampoos and conditioners don't do anything dramatic to any color hair, so it probably won't make a difference on your hair. I used John Frieda's Sheer Blonde collection once when my hair was blonde, and I really didn't notice any changes.
