i would try some kind of therapy conditioner or something super moisturizing like dove. take a dime size about and rub it gently into your ends. then let it sit for around 5 minutes. then rinse as usual. definitely get a hair cut! also try john freda secret weapon and use it on ends it will keep them looking very healthy! What's a good shampoo/conditioner to help reduce the number of split ends?
Alterna Hemp Repair Shampoo and Conditioner works wonders!
Alterna Hemp Repair gentle shampoo is composed of a mild surfactant system to thoroughly cleanse chemically-treated hair without over drying or fading color. Fennel extracts help neutralize peroxides and preserve color. It restores elasticity, manageability and shine. Polymer and silicone agents improve combability and defend hair from damage. Alterna Hemp Repair Shampoo is gentle enough for everyday use.
Alterna Hemp Repair Conditioner is a naturally balanced creme-based conditioner designed to re-hydrate and revitalize moisture-starved hair. Fennel extracts help preserve color. Fresh water silt re-hydrates cuticles to prevent tangles, fly-aways and frizzies. Hemp seed oil adds shine and manageability. Alterna Repair Conditioner is also ideal for everyday use.
You can find Alterna Products in professional salons. I also have many shampoo and conditioner packets for sale on ebay right now so you can try them out for less $. My member name is mrssoldier33.
Good luck to you! What's a good shampoo/conditioner to help reduce the number of split ends?

pantene pro-v
The best conditioner for your hair is a good fresh haircut. It's the truth, get's rid of the split ends.
joyce
The only way to get rid of a split end is to cut it off. There is no conditioner or shampoo that will repair a split end.
I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.
Hope this helps.
matrix, but first cut your hair.
There is none! The best way is to go to a saloon and ask them to give you a haircut and make sure to take care of the split ends. If you get haircuts often you shouldnt have to many split ends.
dove's pretty good.
Shampoos and conditioners don't get rid of splt ends. Only a haircut can do that.
You can prevent them by getting regular trims and by using shampoos and conditions that moisturize. Also, if you are using curling irons, flat irons, or blow dryers....there are sprays that you can spray on before you use them to help prevent heat damage which causes split ends.
Hope this helped. :)
pantene pro-v long and strong. its awesome and it smells great!
Aussie Moist conditioner worked for me. Just put a little on your ends everyday in the shower.
You can't really repair split ends. Get your hair cut and keep up regular maintenance. Most of the time split ends are because you are allowing you hair to get blown around, or its overworked. Use different hair products to 'seal' you hair once you have styled and leave it alone.
To keep from getting split ends try getting trims about every 6 weeks. Also at the drugstore you can find TIGI bedhead ego boost leave-in conditioner for split ends. It should seal up the ends temporarily until you can get them cut off. Also use a very moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, hair that is dry and brittle tends to split. If you already try that and it doesn't work, try an intense moisturizing hair mask once a week. Good Luck!
garnier fructis - length and strength!!! its amazinggg!!!
it doesn't matter what shampoo or conditioner u use,as long as it doesn't dry you hair out
always condition your hair and get regular trims to avoid split ends

Does shampoo/conditioner made for blond hair lighten other color hair?
I have brown hair. If i use a conditioner/shampoo (such as pantene expressions blonde) for specifically blond hair, will that lighten my brown hair?Does shampoo/conditioner made for blond hair lighten other color hair?
Absolutely not.....any shampoo on the market will work on any color of hair.....the products would not be allowed to be marketed to the general public, if there was any risk of ';cosmetic'; or any other harm to the consumer....too many lawsuits out there over ridiculous stuff like this!
By the way, you can just use Ivory Soap for your shampoo.....no need to buy all that expensive stuff they try to sell you......believe me, I know from personal experience....all the hype over hair products is just that....hype.....to make MONEY!!!Does shampoo/conditioner made for blond hair lighten other color hair?
no it may leave golden highlights but it does not have bleach in it that is the only way to lighten your hair that and peroxide. It just has highlights to blend with your hair color. Good luck.
If the product does not contain peroxide then color cannot be lifted so like all the answers above me.......in a word......no
nope. those products are made just to make a specific colour remain vibrant and not let it get dull.. not change it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE herbal essences shampoo and conditioner :) it makes hair smell wonderful.
john frieda 'weather works' is also good and so is vitamin e tresemme (vitamin e makes hair soft and shiny)
as for products i normally use:
-garnier fructis sleek and shine (tames frizzy hair)
-herbal essences long term relationship split end mender (makes hair super soft)
-got2b smooth operator smoothing lustre lotion (makes hair smell great/makes it soft)
hope i helped! :)
The GREAT ones that I use is the Herbal Ensensses, Hydralishious, self-targeting shampoo, and the feather weight conditioner. Not that my hair is thin I just got this from a magazine. But these two products makes my hair so soft. Also I switch between the Aveeno as well, the Nourish plus Moisturize shampoo and conditoner. ALL of these work great. Also when I want to put heat on my hair i use this stuff called CHI Silk Fusion, gel. That heat protectant makes your hair even shinyer and soft.
Hope I helped!=)
If any more questions than please ask.
I start with Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight shampoo.
It smells awesome, and makes my hair so straight and shiny!
Then I condition with L'Oreal Paris Vive Pro Hydra-Gloss Moisturizing conditioner.
(I know, it's a long name).
They both work awesome, and you can buy them at any drug store or super market that carries hair products.
:]
Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree.
It's pretty expensive (around $15) but you get your money's worth. My hair is SOOOOO much better! Less unruly, more bounce, and, the best part? It's ALL NATURAL!!! Read the ingredients, you can't find a chemical on there! It's the best shampoo/conditioner system I've ever used!
well i use suave coconut shampoo %26amp; conditioner, its cheap and makes your hair smell good:)

you don't want to buy anything from a grocery store. Your best bet would be to go to your stylist and ask for a suggestion. You should get something moisturizing and a good conditioner. the one i use in my salon and suggest is Design Essential Moisture retention shampoo and Design Essential 6 in 1 reconstructing conditioner. Again your best bet would be to go to your stylist and have him or her analyze your hair. What is the best shampoo/conditioner to use for natural hair? Hair type:';tightly coiled'; lol?

my hair is naturally wavy but when i scrunch it, it gets curly, but not as curly as i would want it to be. Please help me!What is the best shampoo, conditioner, and spray to make your hair curlier?

the best is the pantene pro-v, herbal esscence, and aussie all mixed together in a nice consistent silky and delightful GOOP mixture. it work here are the mixing instructions:
you take your shirt off and use it as a cup to measure the pantene pro-v... then take off your yellow bra and use it as a smaller cup for the herbal esscence because too much of this shampoo makes it fluidy,... finalement take a giraffe withlimited brown spots and use it to assist you in adding the final shampoo.. AUSSIE.. you need a quarter and a half cup of that.. thank-you and i hope you try this (a hint of gelaton will work like a charm for conditioner.. i promise it really works.. take a picture of the results and post it! thanks)
i use Got2Be:Kinky and stuff like that.
i also use aussie catch the wave mousse, apply it pretty generously at night after i shower and then sleep on it. in the morning the curls absorb it so it doesnt look like a weapon and looks really good. i love it.
pantene pro v or garnier .. if you use pantene pro v, finish with pantene harispray. if you use garnier, finish with garnier spray.
sunsilk curly.... or herbal essences totally twisted
hope i helped :]
