What is a good brand of shampoo&conditioner if...?

What is a good brand of shampoo and conditioner if I want to repair my hair (meaning, fix up a flew split ends) and make my hair shinier and more healthy-looking?

Thanks,

Alice :)What is a good brand of shampoo%26amp;conditioner if...?
Um.. I like Sunsilk TLC or something like that.. its in a pink bottle. I use that and I always get compliments on my hair from the people at the hair salon saying how healthy and shiny my hair looks and feels. What is a good brand of shampoo%26amp;conditioner if...?
If you're looking for a good product to maintain hair health you can try:

- Pantene great lengths (not expensive a big bottle ranges 6-7 dollars)

- Tresemme (a little cheaper but the conditioner is pretty thick and is great for hydrating)

- Generic of Paul Mitchell Shampoo one (Sally's carries the exact same products as Paul Mitchell but its ';generic'; same formula 1/4 of the price)

I would recommend a good thick conditioner (they have a wide variety at sally's that's really the same as the expensive stuff) and a gentle cleanser

**Stay away from SUAVE it contains a lot of detergent that can over strip your hair of natural oils!**

Hope it helps!
panteen for natural or permed hair also get your ends trimmed it will stop the spliting this shampoo has extra vitamins in it to help your hair i use it for myself and my baby girl it works and i am african american i use also IC pre-treatment for heat protection serum before i blow dry my hair it conditions as you use hot iorns or blow dry your hair it is in a hot pink plastic bottle in the hair isle for perms for black hair you use a small amount on wet hair then blow dry you will see a big difference the olive oil serum is good to after you finish styling your hair it takes a little bit like a dime size amout put it in your hands rub them together then finger it through your hair that is also by IC my mom has caucasian like hair it works for her too good luck
I actually had the same problem as yours.

I started using the Garnier Fructis system.

Buy the ';Sleek and Shine'; system. I mean the whole thing.

Shampoo, conditioner, serum and mask.

Its good.

Use shampoo and conditioner daily,

If you want to concentrate on those split ends more, put some serum on the ends when its damp and comb it the way you want it.

Only use the mask once a week
If you want a 'good' brand you need to go to a shampoo shop and get some advice from them. Get something like the PPS range. Any shampoo and conditioner you buy at the supermarket may be cheap in price but your hair will pay for it in the long run. Shampoos and conditioners from the supermarket contain things like silicone which coat the hair rather than repairing the shaft.
John Freda Brilliant Brunette. You may try Radiant Red or the one for blonde hair if your coloring is different. I use it along with the conditioner that comes with Lore'al hair dye ( I don't use the hair dye though.) I get complements for my healthy hair. It works!
FIRST TRY INFUSION 23 LEAVE IN CONDITIONER

THEN I RECOMMEND PANTENE BRILLIANT BRUNNETTE OR BLONDE. WITH EXTREME MOISTURE

REMEMBER TO SWITCH UP UR SHAMPOO AND COND FROM TIME TO TIME CUS HAIR TENDS TO GET USED TO IT AND THEN IT DOESNT WORK ANYMORE
hebal essences bye bye breakage
herbal essences long term relationship:)

it even says on the bottle (for split ends and damaged hair)

ITS A MATCH MADE IN THE SHOWER:) HAHAHAH
Go to Sallys and look for AVON hair shampoo/conditioner it will probably be where the hair coloring stuff is. I'm pretty sure thats what it's called.
I like Pantene products and you should use a thermal protectant before you use any heated styling products.
cut the very ends and then use a hot oil treatment. I just tried the new finess its in te pink bottel extra shine looks great. Also e Garnier fruit extracts works great.
Pantene and treseme and fructis those are all really good ohhhhhh and L'Oreal
there is one for dove and for herbal essences but i dont no what exactly they're called
aussie that's what i use works for me!

What is the best drugstore shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner?

And I also hope all three products won't thin, break, or dry/dull out my hair. All help will be appreciated! What is the best drugstore shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner?
I dont know about leave in conditioner, but for shampoo and conditioner i use Dove intense care therapy ( i think thats what its called) and i really like it. It repairs your hair and makes it feel really soft, especially if you keep the conditioner in for a few minutes before you rinse it outWhat is the best drugstore shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner?
I am a hair freak!

i wont use it uless it works i just bought suave professional

sleek shampoo and conditioner, it really works, its even salon proved to work as well at matrix! It leaves my hair super soft.

Also garnier is a good one.

:D
tresseme and the whole line of aussie products. They both leave your hair strong and silky smooth. And they both smell great escpecially the aussie leave in conditioner.
I use Pantene Beautiful Lengths Shampoo,Conditioner,and Leave-In Conditioner.The best!
i would say pantene pro v is the best shampoo and conditioner

dove has a REALLY good leave in conditioner ( who knew)
I love Herbal Essences. And any leave in conditioner would work. Good luck!
I would say pantene because it cleans ur hair really well and u can get different kinds of pantene

What kind of shampoo +conditioner should someone use that way their hair can grow super fast and super long?

For example: Pantene, Garnier, Vo5, .....?What kind of shampoo +conditioner should someone use that way their hair can grow super fast and super long?
I think there is something new by Pantene that is supposed to make your hair longer, just look on the website and I'm sure you'll find what your looking for! Good Luck! :)What kind of shampoo +conditioner should someone use that way their hair can grow super fast and super long?
This may sound funny to you,But Garlic shampoo is the answer. It helps promote a healthy scalp and new hair growth since it stimulates the scalp. You can also take the garlic in capsule pill form. You can find that at any drug store or vitamin shop. But some Garlic shampoo (they make it unscented) is very good,it has been helping me.
Paul Mitchell Super Strength Line, eat healthy, replace soda with water, take vitamins !

- Paul Mitchell Salon Professional
Paul Mitchel! It works!
Mane N' Tale is supposed to help.
  • Could anyone recommend a really good shampoo & conditioner for dry hair?

I straighten my hair everyday, I no I shouldnt so please dont say 'Stop' because my hair is a total mess if I dont!

So are there any shampoos and conditioners (available in the UK) which I could use to help it.

Thanks in advance!!Could anyone recommend a really good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dry hair?
The Australian bodycare range is fab. They do a 3 minute miracle conditioner which really does do what it says but for an extra boost you can leave it on overnight. It also smells absolutely gorgeous. To protect your hair always put a protective spray on before you dry or straighten it. If you can leave it to dry naturally as often as possible as this is one less heat source being blasted onto your poor hair. (try showering before bed and let it dry overnight then straighten in morning (after using a heat defense spray).Could anyone recommend a really good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dry hair?
try the Aussie shampoo and conditioner, its really good. I also use a charles worthington straightening cream (put it on your hair wet before straightening). This protects your hait and helps make it even smoother!
    So do I!

Don't use conditioner. I don't. Your head will naturally produce the oils it needs to moisturise it.

Make sure you get a hair cut about once every 2 months if you want good, healthy hair. Even just a trim.

Sorry, I don't know what shampoos are available over there as I am in Au.
I straighten my hair loads as well.

I use tresemme heat protection spray before i straigten my hair.

Alberto Ba;sam is really good and the strawberries and cream smells gorg.

Leave the conditioner in for a few minutes so it can soak in and nourish your hair properly.

Good luck with the hair problem!
My suggestions would depend on your budget - the Aussie range is very good and the 3 minute conditioner will resuscitate most hair! However my favourite is Bliss lemon and sage conditioning rinse - I've tried all of the Aveda damage remedy and Kerastase versions for dry hair but the ones that really worked for me are the 2 above - another much cheaper option is to put olive oil on your hair once a week (check web for what to do). BTW do you use some damage control before you straighten - Paul Mitchell seal %26amp; shine or Bumble and Bumble tonic are both excellent for me.
My hairdresser said that herbal essences are the best
i am a hairdresser and the best thing is L'Oreal Intense Repair shampoo and intense repair conditioning treatment. use this for 1 month to get your hair repaired or longer depending on how corse your hair is . then move on to L' Oreal liss extreme shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair silky soft. believe me i hav tried everyting out there and this stuff is amazing. it really does do what it says. you can get these products in any hair salon that stocks L'Oreal or try ebay.
i dont know if its available in uk or not but the pantene black shampoo is nice.sunsilk pink is also good

try any conditioner from dove with it.it works for me

sorry if these arent available there(im from india)
Elvive 2 IN 1 Shampoo and Conditioner from Loreal? It comes for all different hair types, i use the greasy hair one cos my hair is greasy, but u can get it for coloured, dry, normal, greasy hair. U can also get it in anti dandruff.
Heyy .. i have the same problem .. and i also straighten my hair most days.

i use Alberto Balsam (stwarberries %26amp; cream) shampoo - which is for dry/damaged hair. it works well and smells delicious. I get this from asda - but have seen it in most supermarkets.

i also use the Andrew Barton - Shiny Happy Hair range (only available at asda aparently). I use the S.O.S Help Me conditioner - its great. Its in a sort of hair gel tib. lol.

    Hope this helpss !

    xx
I have quite dry hair, so I use VO5 shampoos and conditioner ... my favourite ones are the Silky Smooth ones (that ones the yellow one) but the Nourishing ones are good too (that's the purple one). For straightening, use L'oreal Studio straightening cream before you blow dry, it's really good - my hair's almost afro and it works on me! Also, if it helps, put a teensy bit of olive oil in your hair and leave it in your hair for 24 hrs and wash it out (do this once a month or once a week if you are a regular swimmer), as it helps bring back some natural moisture.

Also, if you're hair's a mess if you don't straighten it, put the straightening cream in damp hair and then blow dry, that's really all you need, so you can straighten it less but you won't feel so conscious about how messy your hair looks.

    Hope I've helped...
    try Goldwell: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Goldwell-Kerasilk-鈥?/a>

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Goldwell-Kerasilk-鈥?/a>
Same - I straighten my hair everyday and it's a bit brittle so I use Herbal Essences Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner (blue bottle) its really good - my hair looks and feels a lot healthier now and smells divine!!!

A lot of good value ranges such as Sunsilk, Tresemme, Herbal Essences etc stock nourishing heat protection shampoos/conditioners for this exact use so it's worth having a look at the ranges available. I'm guessing you already use heat protection straightening cream before straightening your hair? I find the vo5 or Loreal ones work best.

If you are looking to pay a bit more then I would recommend GHD shampoo/conditioner products designed specifically for this use - available from salons or ebay.

How long do i have to use Doo Gro Shampoo & Conditioner in order to see results?

i went on Walgreen's.com and i've ready reviews on the Doo Gro products and they say it works, i also went on there website..please let me know how long i would have to use it in order to see results.thanksHow long do i have to use Doo Gro Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner in order to see results?
it depends on your hair type. it works for some, not all. it took maybe 2 weeks of use for me to see changes in my hair. don't expect a miracle tho, it takes timeHow long do i have to use Doo Gro Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner in order to see results?
You have been rooked because those things do not work, period and it has been proven not to work. Get your money back.

What is the best grease, shampoo, conditioner for my hair (i'm black)?

I'm black so my hair is way diff. then you all and I want to take more care of it and what kind of shampoo should i get then. What is the best grease, shampoo, conditioner for my hair (i'm black)?
Well, with black hair you need moisture, moisture, moisture. Our type of hair tends to get dry and brittle at times because of the products we use like relaxers or flat irons.

I've used Motions products that has helped with keeping my hair from drying out thats on the least expensive side of products, but i've found that I use Neutrogena shampoo to clean off my hair from all the products I use and layer in my hair during the week, then I use a moisture rich shampoo right after like Nexus products then Nexus Keraphix conditioner that puts the moisture back in.

But again, if cost is an issue, motions products are priced well and you can find it at almost any major department store...like walmart or target that will carry the full line. Just focus in on the items that will put moisture back in and won't weigh your hair down.

Below was a site I found on other reasonably priced products for black hair. I hope it helps. What is the best grease, shampoo, conditioner for my hair (i'm black)?
Mane %26amp; Tail Hair Care range,
dark and lovely is a good brand. pantene for people of color really isn't anything to brag about.

i use BB super grow grease.

carrot or olive oil is good too.

i use leave ins for my hair.

herbal essence is only good to use on black hair once in a while.

    i am biracial.
I would look into getting a shampoo specifically made for African hair. There are many out there. If you dont want to spend the money, look for a hydrating shampoo and conditioner made for dry hair.

For a product, try leave in conditioners and such. Next time you visit the salon, see what they recommend.
my hair is very funny and im very cautious about what i use so i use doo gro and profectiv products. doo gro is great and is a very light grease. all profectiv products leave my hair feeling great www.profectiv.com order samples and you will not be let down
    Use Herbal Essence

What shampoo/conditioner works best to tame frizz?

I have moderately frizzy hair and I was wondering if anyone knows what shampoo/conditioner works best. Some of the possibilities I thought of were: Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine, Herbal Essence none of your frizzness, Aussie Sydney Smooth.

I have used Aussie, but not the sydney smooth.

I want to know what products really work, so if you have used them and have first hand knowledge that would be great!

thanks! What shampoo/conditioner works best to tame frizz?
i use the aussie smooth stuff and i lvoe it. but i depends on how you style your hair too. i straighten mine, no blowdry (airdry). i use hair gel so the straightener doesnt damage my hair plus it has anti frizz serum in it.What shampoo/conditioner works best to tame frizz?
    Aussie.

    answer my question please.

just don't use Herbal Essence none of your frizzness, it's crap. I just use frizz serum on my damp hair. Like Garnier Fructis, it works well.
its not conditioner or shampoo but its works amazing!! its called Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Serum
I use Head%26amp;Shoulders Normal 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner for my hair, I think it works great. [:
I like my vive pro smooth and sleek.
