What shampoo and conditioner is recommended for growing hair?

I have thick wavy hair, that's just below my shoulders and nothing seems to make it grow. I get it trimmed every three months, I don't damage my hair with a ton of products and heat, and I use Pantene Pro-v Beautiful Lengths and it hasn't grown in 6 months. I could use some advice. I want my hair really long and healthy. What shampoo and conditioner is recommended for growing hair?
I would recommand the use of Dove ! Its really goodWhat shampoo and conditioner is recommended for growing hair?
I have the exact same kind of hair as you, same length and everything!

So the thing is that shampoo and conditioners don't really make your hair grow automatically. They just make your hair stronger and fight split ends so it might grow a little faster. I'm using the Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths too, and that happens to be one of the best products you can get for fighting split ends. But keep in mind that shampoo and conditioner can only make your hair healthier and fight damage.

It's great that you are getting a trim every three months and don't use a ton of heat products. I would recommend that you stick with the Pantene stuff, but if you really don't like it I say try Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship or Breaks Over, Garnier Fructis Length and Strength, or Dove Intense Damage Therapy.

Good luck with making your hair grow! =-)
Nioxin is a good one to use. also they have vitamins in nioxin that actually make your hair and nails grow super good and fast.

you have to buy nioxin in a salon but its the best out there. dont buy any shampoos or conditioners from department stores spend the lil extra money and get the good stuff
the very best treatment is an oil treatment and the very best is Mira hair oil

shampoos by themselves will slowly stunt growth as they slow clog up pores

use a good hair oil like Mira hair oil and grow hair fast

What is the worst shampoo/conditioner for your hair?

the ones that don't work...lol hahahahaha...mmm...yeah...hope i answered your question! so, can i be r=the best answer???plz???What is the worst shampoo/conditioner for your hair?
Almost all the products on the drugstore shelf are cheap products with a lot of additives in them to make them more ';rich'; looking and more expensive. They don't do much good for your hair.

There used to be several good brands, but they were bought out by commercial cosmetic companies, and they change the original formulas, and they become much like the rest. I really used to like Jhirmack, which had the best products at one time, but not since it was sold to Playtex. KMS was very good too, but seems to have disappeared. Redken was bought by L'Oreal. If you can find Focus21, or Nexxus, they still seem to be maintaining their quality and have very good products. These don't seem to last long in the business (not sure why), so if you find a very good one, hang on to it.What is the worst shampoo/conditioner for your hair?
Dreadlock shampoo and conditioner

It does the exact opposite of normal stuff, it makes your hair dry and tangly so it will continue to dread and stay that way, and if you use it and you don't have dreads, it will destroy your hair easily
Well my hairdresser told me that tresemme is actually quite bad for your hair because it kills it if you use it regally.

Answer mine please.

Herbal Essence it turns you into an orgasmic nympho twenty year old..and you can degrease engines with it too.

but i think pantene and gardnier fructis really kill my hair.

herbal essences, satinique, paul mitchel, nexus are fine
[My] personal hair - Pantene Pro V 18 Hour Straight.

It didn't keep my hair straight at all, and it didn't smell or feel good on my hair.

Is there any way to get rid of dandruff with out using a special shampoo/conditioner?

i have had dandruff for the past 2 weeks and it won't go away! Is there any way to get rid of it just at home or something without going out and buying special shampoo/conditioner???Is there any way to get rid of dandruff with out using a special shampoo/conditioner?
I haven't tried these but could give them a try.

Dandruff Preventative

1 part vinegar

1 part water

Mix, then use by parting hair and applying to scalp with cotton.

Dandruff Treatment I

10 to 15 aspirin tablets

1/2 cup warm water

Dissolve aspirin in water. Gently massage the mixture into the scalp. Leave on 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat in a few days, if needed.

Dandruff Treatment II

1 part any antiseptic mouthwash

2 parts distilled water

Mix mouthwash and water. Apply with a cotton ball, parting hair inch by inch across your scalp, front to back. Dab the saturated cotton along the parts. Leave on for 30 minutes; shampoo normally. Is there any way to get rid of dandruff with out using a special shampoo/conditioner?
my grandpa had dandruff and he used regular listerine mouthwash straight out of the bottle and he swore by it.
just make sure that u wash u'r hair w/ plenty of water and do not use different shampoo.
just make sure that you get all the shampoo out of your hair
When i have dandruff i just washed my hair like normal with regular shampoo and conditioner and it disappeared. It might be because of a product you are using in your hair or your scalp could be damaged.

What shampoo/conditioner/products have you used that REALLY make your hair grow faster?

I'm trying to grow mine out. oh yeah, and any suggestions on how to not make my hair expand when it dries? its curly (a good thing) but also poofy (a suckish thing). thanks i%26lt;3all you guysss!!What shampoo/conditioner/products have you used that REALLY make your hair grow faster?
try maine and tail shampoo. (http://www.overstockdrugstore.com/produc鈥?/a> they use it for horses to get their maine and tail thick and long but it also works for humans (you can find it at the drugstore). i know, it sounds strange to use a shampoo that can be used for horses but on the back it has directions for human use too and it really works. it took me about a month to get results. it takes time.

hope i helped! What shampoo/conditioner/products have you used that REALLY make your hair grow faster?
NIOXIN is great. There is a whole line of therapy you should check out. It is pricey, so if you're looking for a more affordable alternative trying a supplement called Biotin. This is what is found in NIOXIN. You can find Biotin at walmart. The 5000mg is what I would recommend.

  • What shampoo/conditioner gives you shiny, volumized and frizz free hair?

    I don't like:

herbal essences (good smell, bad frizz)

    pantene (coats hair)

    fructis garnier (coats hair)

    suave (frizz)

I do like dove moisture, but it makes my hair normal and I want it big. I have also used pro age, but I would like it shinier.

I loved loreal vive, but too much frizz.

hmm... maybe pro age with a shine serum?

which serum makes your hair shiny without making it greasy?

I mean... if there's no good shampoo out there. What shampoo/conditioner gives you shiny, volumized and frizz free hair?
I learned this from my beautician and in beauty school...buy your shampoo and conditioner from your local salon. Their brand. All the other shampoo and conditioners have stuff in them that puts a nasty coat on your hair...Shampoo and conditoners from a salon don't have any of that in it. Good Luck. What shampoo/conditioner gives you shiny, volumized and frizz free hair?
I know you already said dove, but I really like dove lemongrass and grapefruit scent. It is really nice when I take a shower in the morning and it leaves my hair bouncy and shiny all day. I couldn't really tell you about the frizzy part since my hair is always frizzy since it is so thick, but for the most part it works really well. You should try it.

    =)

Why does it take soooo long to wash out conditioner/shampoo out of my hair?

I put a TINY amount in my hair and it takes forever to rinse it all out. So when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to spend literally almost 30 minutes rinsing it out, I don't get it all out and my hair ends up looking oily the rest of the day and feeling weird. What's going on?Why does it take soooo long to wash out conditioner/shampoo out of my hair?
A mistake I used to make was working the conditioner all throughout my hair. I figured ';I color it all so it all needs conditioning';...but that left my fine, thin hair greasy and flat (plus, it took FOREVER to rinse!)

Try putting a grape-sized dollop of conditioner in your palm then ';dip'; the ends of your hair into it (just fyi: shampoo is for your SCALP, conditioner is for your ENDS)...and if you have any left over, rub your hands together and lightly smooth over the top layer of your hair... avoid working it into your roots or ';combing'; it through your hair. This way, you can rinse faster, have fuller-looking hair, and save money because you're using less product! Why does it take soooo long to wash out conditioner/shampoo out of my hair?
Use lukewarm water, and mix a small amount of water with the conditioner before applying it to your hair. Rinse from back to front, in even strokes from the base of your hairline to the front of your scalp. Don't go from side to side. If you dilute the conditioner, it will be easier to rinse, and won't be greasy all day.
i think your hair is maybe too weighed down. try clarifying with Herbal Essences Degunkify
your using the wrong kind, one with to much oil. also, it's wrong to conditioner your hair everyday. ideally you should only wash your hair every other day and condition it twice a week. if you are doing it more you are stripping your hair when you wash it and coating it and weighing it down with the wrong stuff with the conditioner.that is what causes split ends and breakage
Your hair may be in poor condition to begin with, if the hair strand is rough I will be harder to rinse. It may also be the brand of products you're using. This is weird, not really sure.
Because you use to much. Try using less and rubbing it around the palm side of your hand before putting iy on your head!

Garnier Fructis fortifying shampoo/conditioner, does it work?

And explain why it does or doesn't, thanks :]Garnier Fructis fortifying shampoo/conditioner, does it work?
Ive tried it- wasnt impressed. Nothing different. Then again its a cheap shampoo. Although the smell is pretty. I swear you achieve the same result as buying a 99 cent Suave shampoo.Garnier Fructis fortifying shampoo/conditioner, does it work?
Drugstore shampoos and conditioners are cheap for a reason. They are full of harsh chemicals that strip color and natural oils from your hair and cause damage. They are also full of wax the coats the outside of the hair shaft. Shampoo molecules go into the hair shaft, attach themselves to molecules of dirt and oil, and wash out. So shampoo cleans hair, that is all it foes and cannot fortify your hair. Drugstore conditioner is just a waste of time. If you must use a drugstore brand use Aussie. They use natural ingredients instead of all the chemicals and wax.
It works if you use it on wet hair, lather, rinse, repeat.

It does not work if you leave it in the bottle.

    Can't tell you why.

Does every shampoo & conditioner that repairs your hair make it feel nasty?

I bought the redken extreme hair repair shampoo %26amp; conditioner and it made my hair feel nasty and it seems like everytime I buy a repair shampoo it feels like that .Is it suppose to do that?Does every shampoo %26amp; conditioner that repairs your hair make it feel nasty?
Fructise works pretty good and so does the new herbal essence line. Also maybe you are using a little too much and it's leaving a buildup. There's shampoo that gets rid of the buildup (drawing a blank on the name right now sorry!) Maybe you should try that first and then a repairing one.Does every shampoo %26amp; conditioner that repairs your hair make it feel nasty?
some REALLY intense shampoos and conditioners can do that because they're almost OVER moisturizing, so instead i would try using hot oil treatment once a month is more than enough that will make your hair feel kinda gross for a small amount of time but then that way you can use regular shampoo and conditioner and just keep using the hot oil treatment it will repair your hair and you wont have to deal with the intense shampoos and conditioners

    good luck
not putting ne shampoos or comditionors down but you can try this medicated shampoo you can get it at a drugstore i believe its for wring worms but it makes your hair look more natural and it makes you scalp moisturized and clean of sores and damaged skelp

i think the name of it is ketokanazole or it may be a diff spelling but here is how it shuld b ppronounced ket o conazel shampoo
You really don't have to by the expense shampoo or conditioner. if you hair is like over proceeded you need a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner make sure you rinse well also rinse the conditioner with cool water so that if will stay within the hair it will make your hair also stronger.
Try Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Nexxus Keraphix Reconstructive Conditioner. They both smell great and leave your hair in fantastic condition. They are pretty affordable, about $25 for both in my area.
I use K-Pac or Bumble 7 Bumble...Costs way more but worth it
No their are not supposed to make your hair feel nasty your hair is supposed to feel good after using a good brand like that. I would recommend Biolage i love that Shampoo and conditioner it works really well and it does not leave your hair feeling nasty.
no!the right shampoo and conditioner can make you feel clean and your hair looking great.........try frutice[sp?] or pantene......i recommend pantene pro v............it's a shampoo/conditioner all in one and it smells nice,is non-oily,and give bounce to curls, volume to straight, and everything in between................oh god.......i feel like an advertisment XD

  • I'm growing out my hair long, which is the best shampoo/conditioner to treat my curls to grow long and healthy

I'm using Pantene right now, any other tips? Maybe a curling shampoo would be good, so the curls are strengthening at the same time of the growth?I'm growing out my hair long, which is the best shampoo/conditioner to treat my curls to grow long and healthy
Pantene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm growing out my hair long, which is the best shampoo/conditioner to treat my curls to grow long and healthy
Stop using Pantene as soon as the bottle is used up. It contains a type of wax floors are treated with, which builds up on your hair.

I would try different curl shampoos, don't just use one all the time. It's good to switch around and have variety.
I don't know what's best, I think Pantene is pretty good, but in my experience all ringlets turn into looser curls or waves at waist length and they never come back. Maybe there's a product that prevents this, but I haven't heard of it.
it is obveouse that you need to use sunsilk shampoo and condioner for your type of hair.
Well first off STOP using Pantene!!!!!!! It is horrible...it has wax and plastic particles in it that build up on your hair and will cause it to break off. You should take vitamins (such as prenatals that you can find at Walmart) to make your hair grow faster. If you want something cheaper from a drug store or grocery...Dove is great. At a salon Bed Head for curls is wonderful. Always Always use conditioner. Only wash your hair everyother day. Everyday makes hair even drier. Bed Head Curls Rock is a great cream for curls.

Hair grows about a 1/2 inch a month on average. You should get a trim (only 1/4';) every 3-4 months.

    Hope this helps your curlys!!!!!!!!
If you get a trim when the moon is waning then it will grow faster. That is between the full moon and the new moon.
you can use pantenne brunette expressions
    garnier new curl and shine
In 2004 my hair was short like a guys-now its almost down by my bra strap in back. Ive used something called Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner. Its actually for horse's mane's and tail's! You can get it at the grocery store or at a pet store! Its supposed to make your hair thicker, longer and more silky. Good luck...

For the last 12 years I am still using Paul Mitchel Shampoo One and The Conditioner

Every time I go to the beauty shop I always get told I have the cleanest hair and every since I started using Paul Mitchel it is great for my hair because I have thick and curly hair that frizes and gets wild especially in the area I live in that contains a lot of humidity. My hair always has a shine and always smells clean even when I sweat.

The only down fall I have about this product is how expensive it is but if I buy it at the end of the month, I can always get it 2 for 1.

What is the best shampoo/conditioner/hair care for damaged hair and split ends???

I have really dry damaged hair and my split ends are getting more noticable, I am going to get my hair trimmed but what products can I use to help w/o a cut? What is the best shampoo/conditioner/hair care for damaged hair and split ends???
It's simple. Most products on the market contain ingredients that cause irritation and dryness such as alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, mineral oil, etc. These only give a temporary feeling of softness and smell fabulous but they have little to no long term benefits. Arbonne has some great pure, safe, and beneficial products that are formulated to meet your specific need. The self adjusting daily shampoo and conditioner are formulated with natural tree oil. Native to Australia, tea tree oil is known as “The wonder from down under.” :-) This natural, super-potent oil treats dry, flaky scalp, so that both the head and hair are left nourished, and flake-free. It's botanically based, pure, and safe with key ingredients including nanospheres, nettle, hops, sage and thyme extracts, vitamins A, C, E. If you're open to trying a free sample, I'll be happy to send you one. What is the best shampoo/conditioner/hair care for damaged hair and split ends???

'S' factor.... it's simply the best!
I find that changing my shampoo and conditioner after each bottle runs out can make a difference, its almost as though my hair becomes immune to the shampoo/conditioner and no longer works on my hair, so I swap and change them around and it seems to make a difference. I alternate between, pantene, treseme and dove, all suitable for dry/damaged colour treated hair, I would also recommend the dove hair mask and intensive cream that you massage in and leave on for around 5mins.....and they are inexpensive too.

    Hope this helps x
That truly depends on your hair; each person's hair reacts differently to each product. For more affordable hair care, I would recommend Pantene Pro-V for damaged hair. I have also found, that surprisingly, Head %26amp; Shoulders works very well.

Again, however, you really need to try different brand- what works well for one, could be just mediocre for another.

    Good luck!
I used to work in a hair salon. Biologe shampoo and conditionor or Nexxus works really well. It also gives your hair a lil more umph and shine! They are about $17.00 per bottle. Walmart carries them or you can go to any hair salon and pick them up. If that is too expensive then I would recommend Pantene. Besides Nexxus - it's my favorite shampoo and conditionor

redken curl shampoo and condition it is awsome wwith controling the frizz and poof it keeps ur hair under control
Find some anti-frizz shampoo that has a pearly color to it. The chemicals that make it look pearly will help de-poof your hair.
Maybe using frizz control. It makes your hair smooth and moisturizes to help hair stay down.
    Sunsilk anti-poof!
I think maby head and shoulder is good for you.

when you find it, make sure to check the ingrediants. if it has wax in it, don't get it because it's bad for your hair.

What Shampoo/ Conditioner should I use for my think, course, light brown hair to make it softer and shinier?

Um try a bunch of brands and then pick the one you like best(thats what i did) like maybe biolage or herbal esscensess(sp?). good luck %26lt;3What Shampoo/ Conditioner should I use for my think, course, light brown hair to make it softer and shinier?

  • Herbal Essences ';hello hydration'; shampoo & conditioner: Does it work?

I've been using this for about a month %26amp; a half, and the first time I used it, my hair was incredibly soft so I've kind of been obsessed with it. Now it seems to be wearing off and honestly, I just want my hair to be soft, silky, and healthy so it can grow LONG. Have you guys used this? What are your thoughts?Herbal Essences ';hello hydration'; shampoo %26amp; conditioner: Does it work?
Many people say you should switch shampoos once a month. I've never done this, but I believe it works, and many of my friends have done it. So switch to a different shampoo (I love shampoo shopping), and after a month you can switch back to Hello Hydration. (Which smells great, by the way, don't you think?)Herbal Essences ';hello hydration'; shampoo %26amp; conditioner: Does it work?
    i use it.

i've been using the conditioner for awhile and just bought the shampoo the other day. i like it.

if you want it to be long, try garnier fructise length%26amp;strength
It's really funny that you just asked this question because I just answered another question telling them to try Herbal Essence! I will tell you that I have ONLY used it since it was just Fruit Fusions and now they have all the different kinds. I never use anything but this and everytime I go to a new stylist they always say ';omigo you hair is so healthy and beautiful what shampoo do you use?'; and then they are shocked when i tell them! Nothing smells as amazing either. One thing that I do do is I change up the kinds I use. I use Hello Hydration a lot and I also use the Color Treated kind and another I forgot actually, but I think I see even more results that way. You may want to switch it up a bit!
Same thing happened to me. Switch to herbal essences ';break's over';. It works a little better and also tames breakage, frizzies, and split ends. It has a pearl complex as well to soften and add shine!
I've used it, still do sometimes. I like how it makes my hair soft. But I now like the Herebel Essences drama clean one because I have thick hair and it makes my hair lighter.
iI used it and it did the same thing with me! it workd 4 a while then kinda died off, so i switched to TriSeme' moisture and it works very well! (sorry 'bout the spelling but i hope that helps!)
Some one told me about it I've been using it for about a month now.I also use Triple Moisture deep recovery hair mask by Neutrogena .It is a weekly treatment but I use it every day as a leave in conditioner.I have curly hair and highlights my hair was extremely dry.I have seen a big impovement with these products.I've herd It's not so much the type of shampoo that you need to be concered about ,It's the conditioner that matters. My hair is very soft and shiney now .
I used it for quite awhile but then it seemed to wear off so I switched plus my hairstylist said it was useless.

What shampoo/conditioner can i use for my dry roots?

I have dark, long heavy hair and i have very dry roots and i wanted to know what shampoo and conditioner would be the best that actually works and is not pricy. What shampoo/conditioner can i use for my dry roots?
St.IvesWhat shampoo/conditioner can i use for my dry roots?

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for Asian hair?

My hair is short and thin (not thick and long like how most of you think Asian hair is) What shampoo/conditioner works best for my hair and where can I buy it and for how much??What's the best shampoo/conditioner for Asian hair?
I suggest you check out www.herbalessences.com. It has a really accurate quiz that you can take. It tells you which shampoo you should use. And if you don't believe it works than go to the ratings and reviews.

Once your on homepage click product selector. I tried to take the quiz for you but its probably not as accurate. It says Body Envy Shampoo and Conditioner. Not sure. But please take it yourself to make sure this is the shampoo you need before you buy it.What's the best shampoo/conditioner for Asian hair?
My hair is really thin so you can just stick to baby shampoo if you will. I pick the cheapest product in the store and nothings wrong with it. Last year I used antibacterial soap in the swimming pool showers and I don't recommend it. It made my hair really sticky and stiff. Just stick to 2in1 shampoos that you can find anywhere in stores. Sorry if I don't help you at all...
you want to stay away from shampoos with SLS (sles) or ALS in them as they cause hair to thin :: there are lots of other harsh ingredients to watch out for::

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for split ends?

i have not used the straightener or curling iron or the blow dryer in a month and i still have split ends!! ):What's the best shampoo/conditioner for split ends?
Get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks, it also keeps frizz away.

:DWhat's the best shampoo/conditioner for split ends?
You have to cut them off, there's no way to fix them, only to prevent them from happening. Once you get a good trim, use a strengthening shampoo %26amp; conditioner (something with protein/panthenol in it). It's pretty easy to find strengthening products made for growing your hair at almost every price point.
duh! split ends dont go away until you cut them off

    =D
try to get your hair trimmed.

even if you dont want to cut your hair, it pays off in the long run and acctaully makes your hair grow faster.
There isn't any ';Best'; Shampoo for Split ends. The only way to prevent and get rid of them is with a trim.
just trim ur hair like every few mouths

Which shampoo + conditioner do you think is best for an itchy scalp?

Oh, and, uh...I ain't got fleas!Which shampoo + conditioner do you think is best for an itchy scalp?

well dave you happen to be in luck!! i am a sylist!!

Neutrogena T-Gel works great for itching, dandruff, and the whole nine yards. It shouldn't be used regularly so use it with other shampoos and conditioners

    Clueless about the conditioner...

Go to a hair care expert, and get professional advice, you don't want to start going bald.
Selsun Blue. It has some anti-itching ingredients. Or add a little mint oil into your conditioner. Or rinse with chamomile tea (this one I haven't tried, but people have told me it's good for itchy skin--might be worth a try on your scalp).

  • What is the best shampoo/conditioner/serum for curly hair?

The best shampoo for curly hair is Garnier Fructis. What is the best shampoo/conditioner/serum for curly hair?
i thave thick, wavy-curly hair and i luv garnier fructies. they have a ';sleak and shine'; line that is for frizzy, thick, or uncontrolable hair. it makes your hair soft and smoothe. What is the best shampoo/conditioner/serum for curly hair?
i asked this question b4 and someone suggested John Frieda.. it works wonders!! trust meh! i got frizzy curly hair lol and it so works!
Shampoo: Curl Around Style-Starting Daily Shampoo from the John Frieda Collection

Conditioner: Curl Around Style-Starting Daily Conditioner from the John Frieda Collection

Serum: Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Serum from the John Frieda Collection
The best shampoo and conditioner you can get for curly hair would be Pantene Pro-V Icy Shine. It's the best shampoo and conditioner I've ever used, and my hair is uber curly. It makes your hair really shiny and the conditioner is amazing. I've never had my hair so nice!
ok please no pantne get either sunsilk green for curls i had curly hair and girl i sleeped with this shampoo and conditioner lol and for the serum get john fredia anti frizz serums
I use Redken extreme. Redken level 8 gel is very good also for curly hair. Keeps it from looking frizzy or too stiff looking like some gels do.
I like Pantene Pro-V Curl Vive collection. The John Fredia collection is ok, but the Pantene Pro-V collection works just as well, and its cheaper.
    syrup and whip cream

call me crazy but it works!
john freida frizz ease really works well
I use any type of shampoo/conditioner but when you get out the shower, towel dry your hair and put frizz-ease serum in it. Massage it through your hair with just your hands, don't use a brush because it will cause split ends. Your hair will look shiny , feel like silk ,and it also has a great smell.

    What's a recommended Shampoo/Conditioner for Well Water?

I have very strong well water. It can turn my white clothes yellow and my hair is blonde, so it can get very brassy yellow as well. Any recommendations on a good shampoo that will help prevent this? What's a recommended Shampoo/Conditioner for Well Water?
The ONLY good shampoos are professional. Try getting a clairfying shampoo to remove the impurities and minerals from your hair. I recommend Nexxus Phyto Organics Kelate shampoo. It is color safe, organic, and smells SOOO good. You should also get a blue or blue-violet toning shampoo to negate any brassiness in your hair. Get Nexxus Simply Silver shampoo, it works really well. You should alternate between the clairfying shampoo and the toning shampoo. As for a conditioner, get whichever one best suits your hair type. Most likely your hair will feel dry from all the minerals. I recommend Nexxus Phyto Organics Hydraide moisturizing conditioner. What's a recommended Shampoo/Conditioner for Well Water?
Since a filter is not an option why not refill your gallon bottles at your local grocery store or wal mart? the water costs no more than 50-60 cent a gallon. and its already filtered. Then you wont have to worry about trial and error with the different shampoos and conditioners.
first make sure that you pick a shampoo that gives you a lot of moisture with a very good conditioner (such as john freida, or loreal)...also you may want to use one for blonde hair...also keep up your deep conditoning weekly...
    Suave works for me
matrix essentials ... alternate action shampoo2 - 3 times weekly %26amp; a conditioner that your stylist recommends. And every three months have a iron stripper done at your salon.
If you own your home, consider getting a water softener and a filter system. I grew up in a home with well water and it turned everything yellow! We had a filter system installed and a softener installed and it helped greatly!

    Good luck!
It all depends on which minerals or what is turning your water yellow .You could install a cistern and have treated water delivered monthly. When I used well water we installed a filter (';big iron'; filter). This cleared our water before it hit the taps and made the stains on the sink , and tub go away, and our laundry was white .However before the filter I used '; herbal essences '; that worked fine on my hair.
panteen, something with a good conditioner
Every once and a while that well water builds up in your hair. The way to get rid of the build up is getting well water treatments when you go to the hairstylist.

There is a product called Malibu well water treatment, you can use this, but you would be washing well water back into your hair.( if you use it at home)
Your shampoo is not the problem...you need a water softener. If you install one, your clothes will not be yellow, and soap will work better. Get a water softener...if you don't, the yuck can end up eating up your pipes and cause major plumbing issues.

Head %26amp; Shoulders is good too!

What shampoo & conditioner are you using right now?

and do you recommend them? What shampoo %26amp; conditioner are you using right now?
I've tried many shampoo's over the years and I've found these to be excellent! I alternate mostly between ';Terax'; products and ';Phyto'; products.

I know the cost is a bit higher than your normal products, but I've found that I don't have to use as much of them when I shampoo and condition.

I use ';Terax'; Collagene Reparative Shampoo with the ';Terax'; Crema. Terax Crema has a scent to die for!

Then I alternate with ';Phytos'; Phytonectar Ultra Nourishing Shampoo and Phytokarite Nutrition Extreme Masque.

I also use ';Infusium 23'; which you can purchase at most stores. I think it's pretty good. It's more affordable and easier to purchase than the Terax or Phyto products. What shampoo %26amp; conditioner are you using right now?
I use Naturelle Park Avenue mosturizing shampoo and conditioner. They are great and made with avocado oil, amino acids and proteins so it is great for your hair.

I would not recommend your us any Pantene. It is horrible for your hair, especially if you plan to color or perm it. The reason pantene leaves your hair so shiny is because it has plastic particles in the shampoo, these attach to your hair and create a buildup on your scalp and eventually your hair will end up being waxy feeling.
    Funny you should ask. See, I have REALLY long hair (to my waist), so the last time I was buying shampoo, I bought ';Garnier Fructis Length %26amp; Strength.'; It smells delightful and I was so thrilled to have found a shampoo designed specifically for people with long hair. Well, turns out I should have kept reading because now, about 3 weeks later, I noticed that my hair is seeming thicker and longer than ever and in the shower the other day I realized that right below where it says ';Length and Strength'; it reads ';for fragile hard to grow long hair.';

    Sigh.

That is so not what I needed.

It does seem to be doing what it advertised though, so if that's what you're after it's a good choice. I just misunderstood and now I find myself left with a wild, heavy head of hair that is screaming for a cut!
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. And i dont really recommend them.. to me it seems that all they do is smell good. And the conditioner doesnt untangle my hair so well so i either have to use more which weighs down my hair, or use a different conditioner.
Victoria's secret So Sexy for dry/damaged hair. I love the smell and my hair feels so soft after I use it. I also switch off and use Burt's Bees, More moisture Raspberry and Brazil nut. Smells so yummy and is gentle on my hair.
    bumble and bumble

    i swear by it.

its expensive but worth it, especially if you have dry hair

it works super good and makes my hair silky.

of course i recommend it :)
John Freida collection: Radiant Red Daily Shampoo and Conditioner. I love this product, I would definitely recommend it as long as you have the same color of hair.
I switch off brands often. Right now I am using Pantene and I like it...I have also used Dove...it is okay but, the conditioner isn't as good as I would like.
Hahah! I think we're out of shampoo so I've been using my kid's Johnson %26amp; Johnson... it's awesome!

For conditioner I'll use whatever's in the shower if I remember.

Try Garnier Sleek %26amp; Shine. It's pretty good. But a better way to keep your hair from frizzing is to use a serum while it's wet. BioSilk is the best. Just use a tiny bit--like dime size or less and it will last a long time.
Seconding Sunsilk. Buy the green kind, that's for frizzy hair. I use it and it helps enormously. Also helps a lot but is really expensive: Silk by Biosilk. You could also switch to a blow dryer that irons your hair while it blows.
I would try the Infusium line, it's really good, and inexpensive..
CHI shampoo and conditioner, it's the best, you'll find it at some salons or beauty supplies
Try sunsilk. They have several different ones like straight hair and frizz control. I just started using them and they work pretty good.
try using some serum after you blow dry your hair.

it helps to tame the frizz and makes your hair nice and sleek

    alternatively, use a leave-in conditioner.

What kind of shampoo/conditioner to use for full lace wigs?

    DO NOT USE REGULAR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER!

It will can irreversibly damage your lace wig.

Even though your lace wig is made with human hair, it cannot be treated and washed the same way as the hair on your head. You should always use products that are SPECIFICALLY made for human hair lace wigs:

    http://www.jdcwigs.com/how-do-i-wash-and-care-for-my-human-hair-wig/

How do I wash and care for my Human Hair wig?

    1. Fill yourclean sink with luke warm water (make sure there is absolutely no bleach or other harsh cleaning chemical residue in the sink)

    2. Add a capful or less of gentle(human hair wig formulated) shampoo and dilute in the water. Never use regular shampoo on your wigs! If the wig has picked up the odor of smoke or other strong odors, you may add a teaspoon of baking soda to your basin, and blend in.

    3. Gently swish the wig or piece in the water for about 30 seconds to a minute until the wig is saturated. Gently rub the front of the wig cap, where it meets the forehead until clean. And remember GENTLY GENTLY GENTLY!

    4. Leave the wig soak in the wig sink for about 5 minutes

    5. Empty the wig basin of water and rinse the wig or piece in cool water. It is very important to use cool water on curly wigs, as warm water will over-relax the curls of wigs.

    6. Gently squeeze excess water out of wig. Do not rub or twist your wig.

    7. Spread the wig out on a plastic wig stand and leave in a ventilated area to dry overnight. You should spray on a little leave-on wig conditioner, when you start the drying process. It is not recommended to blow dry your wig. Do not brush or style your wig while it is wet.

    8. When the wig is entirely dry, re-style the wig gently. We recommend a wig pick or wide tooth comb. Bristle brushes, and roll brushes are not recommended.

loreal elvive straight and shineWhats the best shampoo/conditioner for straight hair?
Buy Pantene at any drugstore it is less than $5 and it smells great!

If you have oily hair it does a great job of stripping oils, but leaving enough moisture in to leave your hair feeling silky %26amp; smooth.

    http://ribbonties.blogspot.com
i like sunsilk (the silky straight 1) it makes your hair soft and if your hair is curly then it'll be made wavy, and will most likely get rid of frizz. it's about...5 quid a bottle? maybe? probably more or less? not certain, but it does improve the condition of your hair. you should be able to get it any where (boots, any pharmacy).

also VO5, bout the same, even nicer actually.
Tresseme is a good one if your price is low

If you want high quality Redken from salons is good
I love Garnier Fructis for length and strength. It makes it really smooth and smell great. It's fabulous.
I love Biolage Normalizing Shampoo paired with the Biolage Smoothing Conditioner. I think it works great!!!

Good shampoo for swimmer OR a good 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner?

I have swimming class every week, for about 1 hour. I only have 15 minutes to shower to get back to school, do i need to use a special shampoo, or is it okay to wash with a 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner to save time, then when I go home, rinse my hair with just water and put regular conditioner on my hair for 10 minutes and rinse?

What is the best brand, in your opinion of these two types of shampoos?Good shampoo for swimmer OR a good 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner?
You have a few alternatives. Personally, I use Herbal Essences ';Hello Hydration'; 2-in-1. It's a blue bottle with a lime green cap. I swim basically every day, and that keeps my hair pretty soft. If I have time, two washes makes it impossible for me to tell I was in a pool. Another option is a shampoo specifically designed to remove chlorine, such as Ultra-Swim. They work very well, but they tend to be pricey. When I was younger, I used L'Oreal shampoo meant to remove chlorine, but I haven't been able to find it. Your final option is to just wash your hair and when you have time use a baking soda and water mixture to wash your hair. Let it in your hair for about 10 minutes before rinsing it out. I found that this was the most effective way for me to deal with chlorine. The only downside is that it can get a little messy. This option probably isn't as viable for you since you're only swimming once a week, and it's hardly worth going through the hassle. The first option is probably the best one for you.Good shampoo for swimmer OR a good 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner?
I dont think you need to use a special shampoo. As long as you use some special shampoo at night, to get the chlorine totally out.

I am a swimmer but i have practice at night so i just go home and take a shower, but it is best to get most of the chlorine out right away.

I use Aveda a few times a month, which just helps finalize i think, Otherwise, i use pantene or bath %26amp; body works shampoo and conditioner. Don't get too specific, it'll just get too compicated.

2 in 1 is perfectly fine

    I hope this helps
    Depending upon where you live....

Go to a beauty Supply store.I suggest Sally Beauty Supply. There is a product called 'Generic Clarifying Shampoo. It compares to Nexxus Aloe Rid which is not sold anymore except in the generic form.It is amazing about taking the chlorine buildup off your hair. It is in a white bottle with black lettering.

Any good clarifying shampoo should work. Read the back labels and see if it takes out chemicals and impurities in the hair.

I know they also make swimmers shampoo and Swimmers conditioner.A beauty supply store is a place to find it. The specific swimmer products may not come out until early summer, but definitely pick up a clarifying shampoo.
if you are swimming only once a week it probably doesn' t matter as much, but AquaSwim is a great shampoo for removing and neutralizing chlorine so your hair doesn't turn into green straw. They make a conditioner too but I find that the shampoo is the most important part, and then you can use any off the shelf conditioner. I don't think there is a 2 in 1 aquaswim so if you are pressed for time just shampoo.
TriSwim. It's made for swimmers and removes chlorine and prevents damage. It also gets rid of the smell of chlorine.

Which drug store shampoo/conditioner really makes your hair shiny?

My hair is kinda dry and pretty damaged and I'm trying to find a shampoo like pantene pro-v or something that actually works to make my hair healthier and shinier. Help?Which drug store shampoo/conditioner really makes your hair shiny?
    Fructis--Sleek and Shine

They also have a shine spray as well--works great on my kids.Which drug store shampoo/conditioner really makes your hair shiny?
I really like Tresemme haircare, I use the kind for colored hair and it works well. If you use styling tools try the line that works with heat (it is ion black and red packaging AI believe.)
use garnier fructis. There are a ton of them and they are all for different hair types. they make hair super shiny and healthy and stong
try Aussie. Pantene's actually pretty bad, it's no good. (pretty much heard that about Pantene from EVERY hairtsylist I've ever been too, and I've lived in/been to a lot of places).
You hit the nail right on the head. Use Pantene Pro-V Ice Shine. It made my hair REALLY shiny...to the point where I was getting compliments every day. Good Luck :]
herbal essences long term relationship. its dirt cheap and it works surprisingly well.

  • What high end shampoo/conditioner is best?

I have slightly wavy hair that is frizzy with a medium thickness to it. I want a shampoo/conditioner that will make my hair soft but not weigh down my hair to where it wont get curly when i air dry my hair and to get rid of frizz. Any suggestions? Redken?Matrix?..What high end shampoo/conditioner is best?
    redken smooth down

    i use it

sometimes if you use too much coniditioner your hair will get very soft, but this shampoo and conditioner is made especially to get hair smooth and straight without weighing it down, which it doesnt at all.

very nice stuff, works well, your hair will be in love.

paul mitchell is a nice product too, ive only been able to sample it and it made my hair very very different...ive only used it twice so i dont know its full effects but thats a nice bet too

you can buy these at ultaWhat high end shampoo/conditioner is best?
Burts Bees! Well its not really high end but it has better results than any salon product I have ever used and its all natural. Since you have frizz i would use the ';Super Shiny Grapefruit %26amp; Sugar Beet'; shampoo and conditioner. It works great, its affordable and i promise you it works! You can buy it at any walgreens.
Bumble %26amp; bumble are so great, they leave hair so soft, shiny and manageable. I have troublesome hair myself, and i definitely reccommend it.
matrix is okay, i strongly dislike redken. i recommend trying Joico. it's hands down the best shampoo/condition ive ever tried, ill never use anything else!

What is the cheapest, but best brand of moisturizing shampoo/conditioner?

The best way is to leave olive oil in your hair for 10 minutes,

it works wonders, your hair will be so soft and shiny after you wash

Neutrogena Triple Moisture. It's not too expensive and it's amazing!!!

They have shampoo, daily conditioner, a weekly conditioning treatment, and a leave in conditioner.

I stripped and then bleached my DYED black hair to blond and it was horrible. then I used the weekly treatment and the daily conditioner and now my hair is super soft and shiny :)

Each product is only about $4-6 and it's totally worth every penny. But you really only need the daily conditioner and maybe the weekly conditioner because they work so well

Hope I helped :)What is the cheapest, but best brand of moisturizing shampoo/conditioner?
Baby shampoo is the best i am 20 and i have been using it for a along time my hair is always soft and clean and its pretty cheap it matters wat kind u get or u could get ivory shampoo its body and shampoo it cost a little more but its juts the same
Dove. Dove. Dove. You get more for your money and it's best if used as a combo ( Dove Shampoo and Conditioner ). I've used Dove in my hair for years with no issue and I mean the bar soap before any shampoo was introduced.
Dove is really good for dry and damaged hair, and it's not that expensive. It works for straight, wavy, and curly hair.

Pantene is best for straight hair, and treseme is really good for curly hair
    I like Pantene 2 in 1 wash. Also, Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, and Down Under Naturals. %26gt;-%26lt;-(-:}
well, if you want natural, there's pantene nature fusion that are about $8 for a pretty large container. Pert is also good quality and pretty cheap.

What's your favorite smelling shampoo/conditioner that last all day?

answer the title. oh and have anyone ever tried tresemme thermal recovery shampoo/conditioner?What's your favorite smelling shampoo/conditioner that last all day?
I LIKE THE ENJOY LUXURY. YOU CAN ONLY BUY IT AT CERTAIN SALONS BUT ITS SMELLS GREAT! SMELLS LIKE BUBBLE GUM AND ITS GREAT FOR UR HAIR...(HAS NO SULFATES AND IT HAS HUMAN HAIR PROTEIN)

AS FOR THE TRESEMME THERMAL RECOVERY: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THERMAL HAIR RECOVERY...IM SORRY BUT ONCE YOUR HAIR IS BURNED,,THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO BUT CHOP IT OFF. ALSO...THE SHAMPOOS YOU BUY AT WAL MART OR TARGET OR ANY OTHER STORE LIKE THAT...THEY AREN'T REALLY GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR....THE SULFATES IN REG. SHAMPOOS STRIPS COLOR AND MIGHT CAUSE YOU TO FLAKE FROM YOUR SCALP...WHILE YOU THINK ITS DANDRUFF..IT REALLY ISN'T...ITS THE REACTION FROM THE SULFATES (SULFATES R ALSO USED IN WEED KILLER!)

TIPS: BUY THE ENJOY...IT MIGHT COST MORE BUT YOUR HAIR WILL FEEL GREAT..AND TO MAKE IT LAST...DONT USE TOO MUCH AND WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY OTHER DAY..NOT EVERY DAY SO THAT YOUR HAIR CAN GET THE NATURAL OILS THAT IT NEEDS.What's your favorite smelling shampoo/conditioner that last all day?

I am not kidding it moisturized my hair and my hair was SO soft. Read all the reviews and they also say that.

It doesn't give much of a shine though but it's shiny enough! :)

I bought mine at Rite Aid for only $1 for 13. oz! I'm not sure if the sale is still going on right now but you can always check :) I bought around 10 bottles because it was on sale and I could probably use these for the next few years. I love this stuff. Smells amazing too :)
I use Aussie shampoo and conditioner and my friends are always touching my hair now because it is soooo soft. It's cheap too and you get a lot out of the big tubs they sell.
    Herbal essences 'Hello Hydration'

Smells Yummy! And very soft once you are done with it.

Whats a shampoo/conditioner i can buy to make my hair grow faster?

thanks :)Whats a shampoo/conditioner i can buy to make my hair grow faster?
Nothing you do to your hair externally will help it grow. Hair growth comes from a healthy lifestyle. Most hair will grow from 1/4 to 1/2 inch a month. Taking a daily vitamin and eating healthy will help speed it up a little.Whats a shampoo/conditioner i can buy to make my hair grow faster?
Umm ok there are actually vitamins etc that make your hair grow faster , I have no idea why someone would say otherwise .

When I was pregnant with my daughter I cut my hair twice and it grew back so fast , I cut it above my shoulders and both times it was back below my shoulder blades . I was of course on prenatal vitamins ( just regular drugstore brand) but also I was using Garnier Fructis .. I am not sure hows it is spelled . I really liked them and always noticed that my hair was shiny and healthy while using it .

Of course if you take vitamins or eat foods that will help your hair grow it wont just be the hair on your head ! Your leg hair and also your finger/toe nails will sprout .

I am not sure if its true or not but since you might as well try everything you can try taking better care of your hair like not over washing , do not brush wet hair , try to reduced the use of heat styling , get routine trims and keep your hair in a braid at night ...those things are all said to help keep your hair healthy and prevent excessive breakage .

I would so a search for foods that can help you too ....
The Original Main 'n Tail shampoos and conditioners are known for their use on horses (and since its popularity....humans too) to keep their hair healthy, provide protection against the elements, and thus having a positive effect on the growing of hair faster. They are inexpensive and can be found even at your local walmart. There are found with the regular shampoos and conditioners. Ive tried them and they seem to work well.
Well, there really isn't a shampoo, but you can try Pantene beautiful legnths or herbal essence long term relationship. Plenty of sleep, exercise, fresh air, a good diet and take fish oil capsules and vitamins e and b will encourage your hair to grow more quickly. Also, while in the shower, take the time to thoroughly massage the shampoo, rubbing at the roots, it helps keep hair healthy and encourages to grow faster.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
Hair is dead matter just like your nails. They both grow outward from within/the root. All you can do for hair is wash and condition it. You have to replace your bodies natural oils on it that you have washed away with artificial oils in conditioners or hot oil treatments. To make hair and nails grow is eating right and taking daily vitamins.
These ppl are not helpful hah

but it's true none really do make your hair grow faster

but what you can do too help it is massage in the sculp when you do wash your hair

and if you have split ends i andvise you cut them off cuz then your hair wont grow

    :)))
Drink lots of water, eat lots of veggies and protiens. But don't expect seeable results. Ask your hair person (can't remember the name, lol) and get it trimmed a little every 6-8 weeks so it looks nice.
There is no such shampoo, conditioner, Vitamin, or product that will make your hair grow faster.

That includes Biotin, Prenatal Vitamins, and Mane and tail.
Prenatal Vitamins, %26amp; Mane %26amp; Tails Shampoo.

I'm in the same situation I've been doing this for like 2 weeks %26amp; my hair is growing like crazy! GOOD LUCK :)
well i definately would get moisturizing shamp %26amp; condit cuz healthy hair grows faster naturally. Also there are certain foods that promote hair growth... so u may want to check that out :)
Shampoos and conditioners don't make hair grow faster
darling that doesnt make your hair grow longer.youll just have to wait

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Kroger, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!

girl WEllapon conditioner is the best.u can check out the varieties available in it and buy da one dat is according to ur hair.n shampoo CLEAR is da best for all kind of problems or even no problems its da best i have ever used.

here is a tip for hair if u r sufferin from any hair problem, have bad edges or dye prob...mix coconut oil n henna n paste it on hair for 20 mins ...do it once in a month n ur hair will be ';oh so lovely!!
l'oreal in pink bottle is good
Paul Mitchell Shampoo One is the best shampoo I have found because it doesn't contain any oil. You can also use it every day, and you don't need a lot to get a good lather. Smells good too.

Pantene conditioners are quite cheap and you still get an okay result, although you can't beat salon products really.
Try something from the KLORANE range. They have shampoo and care products for all types and colours of hair. I would recommend the citrus one.
If your hair is short and a little greasy, you don't need a conditioner. Only long/thick/curly hair needs conditioning. This is a marketing myth perpetuated by the beauty industry who want you to buy their product. Rinse in rain water if you have it. Makes the hair soft and shiny. Any shampoo for oily/normal hair will work for you. Good luck!
carbolic usually does the trick love
John Freida products. Check out his line at your local dept. or drug store.
    Great solutions in this site.
Anything with lemongrass in it. Lemongrass reduced the 'grease' without making your hair too dry.
i love loreal elvive anti breakage shampoo and conditioner (in a yellow bottle) it smells lovely and conditions hair preventing it from breakage!x
Dunno babe, but i use fructis, nice to smell them fruits while showering
tresemme is excellent for all types of hair
Miss Cazzi, I find vo5 shampoo to be reasonably priced and good,If your hair is slightly greasy, try soaping up two times. As far as conditioners go I like to recommend the same brand as the shampoo, but leave in conditioners sometimes leave the hair a little greasy,so try a rinse out conditioner.

Is herbal essences long term relationship a good shampoo/conditioner?

I have colored damaged, thick, dry, frizzy dark brown hair. Should i use something professional like Paul Mitchel? Or should i use long term relationship? Is herbal essences long term relationship a good shampoo/conditioner?

No! Invest in a paul mitchell or something. Super Strong is a good paul mitchell line for damaged hair, or awapuhi moisturizing is good from them too. Good luck :-)

Try them both and see which you get the best results from, each person's hair and scalp reacts differently to different products.
You should stick with the long term. The more you wash your hair in it, the more your hair will become accustomed to it.
i heard there products arent good. chemicals in them are too strong.

How do I get the smell from the Shampoo/Conditioner, Selsun Blue, off of my skin and hair?

I used to go to a barber that OBVIOUSLY didn't sterilize his clippers because I would always get an itchy scalp for a week or so, after going to him. Anyways, I don't go to his shop any more, but had started to use the Shampoo/Conditioner Selsun Blue to assist with my itchy scalp. Now that I don't go to him any more, I have no need for it, but ever since I stopped using Selsun Blue, I have retained a DISGUSTING sulfur odor radiating from my hair and skin!!! I've scrubbed my hair and skin with Dove body wash, Dove bar soap, and even Pantene shampoo, and it still remains. HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS HORRIBLE STENCH?!?!?!? PLEASE HELP ANYONE!!!!How do I get the smell from the Shampoo/Conditioner, Selsun Blue, off of my skin and hair?
go to a shop and get a scented oil that you like. bathe in water but add some of that. after wash it off and see how it works. thats all i can think of. good luck!!!!How do I get the smell from the Shampoo/Conditioner, Selsun Blue, off of my skin and hair?
Mix a bit of liquid Tide and water (very little Tide). Don't get it in your eyes. The odor will disappear with time anyway.
I know what you mean about the disgusting odor. I hate that shampoo. Try using a clarifying shampoo. Or you you could try rinsing your hair with a little apple cider vinegar. I use it to clarify my hair once in awhile. You just need to dilute it with a little water and use as it as a rinse after you shampoo your hair. Don't worry the vinegar smell will go away. Hope I helped you.
I'd sue the old barbar. bastard. this is such an odd situation...i'd call a HAIR PROFESSIONAL and find out PRONTO. If that doesn't work, see a dermotologist. It might not be the shampoo...could be a more serious problem.
use another smell of shampoo and conditioner.
If jumping in the pool is an option I would try that. The chlorine seems to cancel out all kinds of smells especially bad cologne. Good Luck!
Try a clarifying shampoo and conditioner. You probably have some of the Selsun Blue residue still in your hair. This will help get it out. I know a lot of company's make this type of shampoo, but I use Suave. Hope it works!

What is the best shampoo/conditioner you have used?

I got my hair highlighted in late June. It is naturally a darker brown and I have gradually had it dyed to a blonde. Best shampoo/conditioner to get silky smooth hair?

Also, is there a certain shampoo for broken hair (from brushing when wet) or do I just have to wait till those hairs grow back.

Thanks!Best shampoo/conditioner to get silky smooth hair?
herbal essence! best shampoo i've ever used! .. theres different kinds, you could get ';straight hair'; or ';broken'; or ';curly hair'; I STRONGLY recommend this, my hairs really curly and this made my hair nice and silky.Best shampoo/conditioner to get silky smooth hair?
I stayed at a friends house yesterday and used her shampoo called Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo (For Rebellious and Frizzy Hair).

It made my hair really, really soft and shiny.

For the broken hair problem, go in and get a trim. They'll cut off the split ends without taking length off. Trust me, it really helps.

Conditioning your hair also helps. When I'm in the shower I'll leave my conditioner in my hair for a while (for example, while you shave your legs or something) and then rinse. This allows the conditioner to really soak in and soften the hair. A repairing conditioner would work best. Be careful not to use too much or condition hair too often or it could end up oily.

    Good luck.
I really recommend Loreal Everpure color care (even though you dont have color treated hair) it makes your hair really smooth and silky. Around $8/bottle

There's an excellent shampoo called Caviar Seasilk that I like to use. It smells very light and fresh and I noticed results right after the first time I used it. It's a bit expensive but I think it's worth it!

AJAX :-PWhat's The Best Shampoo/Conditioner For Hair With A lot of Volume ?
you might want to try the kerastase line (oleo relax), it amazingly works for me. i got same prob, heavy hair with a bit of wave. if i want it straighter, i just use this stuff. a bit pricey but worth every cent esp the masque/conditioner.
my hair is like that and i use fructis garnier sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner (it weighs down my hair so that it doesn't look so voluminous)
My hair's the same, it's pretty long, thick and has a lot of volume. I often change Shampoo and half an hour ago I washed my hair with this Garnier Fructis Long %26amp; Strong thingy and conditioner. It's good. Nothing spectacular but worth trying.

What is the best shampoo/conditioner for african-american hair?

Mane and Tail is mostly protein but as far as the ';BEST'; it depends on what your hair likes. In my opinion the best for my hair is Aphogee Deep Moisture Shampoo, Kenra Moisture Conditioner, and Aphogee 2min but others might have a different opinion. What is the best shampoo/conditioner for african-american hair?

So just recommend a shampoo and conditioner that will help.ThanksWhat shampoo %26amp; conditioner should i use?
you should try herbal essence shampoo hello hydration it leaves my hair very nice smooth also with nice wonderful smell .

also biolage is a nice shampoo it works wonders to achieve nice healthy hair use it with conditioning balm it rocks it leaves my hair very silky and soft. What shampoo %26amp; conditioner should i use?
I like Pantene Pro-V. But the best shampoo and conditioners are the kind you buy at the salon. Like Purology, AG, Redken...I always notice a huge difference when I splurge for brands like that. Also, a lot of salons have sales on hair products frequently and if you pay attention you can end up with great deals.
well it really depends on what your trying to do...the best thing you can do is get a shampoo and conditioner specifically for your type of hair.
I think the best shampoo out there is Pantene it add volume and keeps your hair nice and shiny and smells great!! And they make a kind for each hair type. ex:Full and Thick,Natural Fusions,Anti Frizz...
that aussie one. you can also go to my profile and check my question cuz i posted one kinda like this.

What is the best body wash and shampoo/conditioner?

What is the best smelling bodywash and shampoo that are not outrageously priced and leave the smell on you until the next day? I am on sort of a budget so if you know the price that would be great. I like all scents especially fruity, flower or sweet! I am allergic to Breck products! also can you tell me if it drys out your skin? thank you so much! What is the best body wash and shampoo/conditioner?
I use Suave and LOVE it it comes in all flavors, um, scents. And it is great for your skin. I can get a bottle of shampoo for $2.50, I washed my hair y-day and can still smell it. For my skin I use the suave with Shae and coconut butter better moisturizer, body wash, it doesn't have much for scent so I use body spray and reapply as necessary.

good luckWhat is the best body wash and shampoo/conditioner?
personally i dont like scented soaps-that just creeps me out. i want it to clean me-not cover up the stink. I just use plain dove body wash, it works great! dove shampoo is also pretty good, or garnier fructis if youre looking for that scent. if you really want a scented bodywash the only thing i could suggest to you would be like axe or old spice, but i doubt theyre cheap. personally id say use one product to clean you or another to make you smell good

    EDIT

you can also get the dove moisturizing body wash, which will definitely not dry out your skin
i like tone mango splash. mmm the best ever! and avalible at your local grocery store
I would definitely suggest suave. Their shampoos are well priced and come in a million different great scents. I love the coconut! It's make me feel like I've come back from a tropical beach. But you can pick whichever scent appeals to you most.
